Our pick up will be at your Hotel- at 8,00am to be back around 5,00pm.
After almost 2,00- hrs drive, we will reach the beautiful Village of Montalcino, located at the beginning of one of the most beautiful lands of Tuscany- the Val d’Orcia. Our stop, as first, will be at the huge Fortress dated back to 1361- from the Sienesi to protect the South part of the territory.
Today inside is located one of the best and furnished wine shops of the area. With few euros will be possible to taste some Brunello wines ( if not too early)-followed by a nice and easy walk along the narrow roads of the tiny town medieval town of Montalcino – with its tall and slender clock tower hat enrich the Palazzo dei Priori, the medieval city state building, from where different wealthy families have ruled the spectacular site of Montalcino- Facing the palace another example of the past with the characteristic Gothic Loggia.
At 11,00am we move to the winery our first Winery – where we have reserved for you a private visit of the cellars and a better Brunello wine Tasting. The visit of the property with the oenologist, explaining how they make the wines, ending with tasting their wonderful best productions. This will have a cost of E 15,00 per person.
After this first wine experience- we could not miss a visit at the spectacular Abbey of Sant’Antimo, dated back from 781 and built from Charles Le Maigne, – The Gothic Church with the alabaster columns- architecture- the atmosphere here- will bring us back to the middle age – accompanied by the record of the Monks voices chanting in their Gregorian Pray.
As now it would be time to break the day with something to eat –
We have the opportunity to book for you another winery – where the Mamma’s is going to cook for you some of the traditional Tuscany dishes for the traditions, that after a visit to the farm you will enjoy tasting the great Brunello wines and Rose’ wines produced here for this other experience the cost for the lunch is of € 40,00 pp. payable on site.-fell free to ask us if more wines in the afternoon or alternative lunch proposals.
The best cost of this exclusively tour will proposed once we know if from Florence or from other part of Tuscany as costs are changing in regard of the distances.
